This course presents the Privacy Rule in easy to understand language. The multi-media format provides options to match learning styles.

After completing this course, your staff will understand:

This kit is divided into two levels of training and includes supplemental materials that explore the implications of HIPAA.

Level I
Designed for every employee, Level I is an overview of the HIPAA Privacy Rule. It provides a basic understanding of what it takes to protect patient privacy.

1) HIPAA Privacy 101 Handbook: A 16-page overview that breaks the Rule into easy-to-digest nuggets with questions at the end to test for understanding.

2) Practice Privacy Video: In 23-minutes, the Privacy Rule comes alive, through a typical day in a small practice.

3) Level I Test: A 30-question multiple-choice test that reinforces the materials; provided in both hardcopy and video formats.

Level II
Designed for staff with management responsibility and those in direct contact with patients. Level II builds upon the materials in Level I and provides additional information for the learner to expand his/her understanding.

1) HIPAA Privacy Pocket Guide: More information about the Privacy Rule in a concise, informative, 44-page guide.

2) Level II Test: Multiple-choice questions that challenge the learner to apply their knowledge of the Privacy Rule.
