SHRM to resell Simplified Training Solutions product

Simplified Training Solutions has reached a reseller agreement with the Society for Human Resource Management for the Raleigh-based multi-media training company's HIPAA Tool Kit for Employers. SHRM will resell Simplified Training Solutions' product through its online bookstore at shrmstore.shrm.org

"This is a huge step for us," says Rob Karn, Simplified Training Solutions' vice president of marketing. He expects SHRM's decision to sell the product to act as an endorsement that should help attract more customers.

The product includes software with training documents and videos that help companies get in compliance with the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act. HIPAA has an April 14, 2004, deadline for sponsors of health benefits plans to implement a program to protect the privacy of employees.

Karn says he doesn't know yet how many copies will be sold through the site. Simplified Training Solutions, which has seven employees, is a subsidiary of Raleigh-based marketing and communications firm Connections Too.
